Diploma in Management

Program Objective

The University of Malaya Diploma in Management program is offered to school leavers interested in pursuing a career in organisational management and administration. This program will equip students with the skills and knowledge required in management as well as expose them to basic aspects of organisational management including management, marketing, finance, management information systems, human resource management and strategy implementation. Curriculum, course content, academic standards and course evaluation are specifically designed to enable students to gain and develop the skills and knowledge relevant for a career in management.

Career and Academic Pathway

Graduates of the Diploma in Management program will have the opportunity to further their studies to a Bachelor Degree in related fields at local universities. They will be able to obtain positions such as Assistant Administrative Officers at Government Departments and Statutory Bodies subject to the prescribed conditions of the public service. The graduates will also be qualified to hold various posts in the private sector.


Fully Accredited by MQA (SWA0628) and recognised by JPA.

Class Schedule

Students will take 3 to 6 courses every semester. 


Examinations will be held at the last week of each semester. 


The Diploma in Business Management will be awarded by University of Malaya.

Teaching Methodology

This program is taught  through lectures, discussions, presentations, projects and case studies. 

Degree Studies

Students who successfully complete the diploma can apply to the University of Malaya for admission to its degree programs. Students can also transfer to the International University of Malaya - Wales in Kuala Lumpur to complete their degree.
